Sub-accounts & allowances
Let a kid, partner, or teammate shop on your balance — within a limit you set.
A sub‑account lets someone else shop with SpendGhost on your funds, capped by an allowance you control. Great for a kid's monthly budget, a partner's shared spending, or a teammate's supplies — without handing over your whole balance.
How it works
Add a sub-account
Tell the ghost who to add and how much they can spend.
"add my son with a $100 monthly allowance" "give my teammate (415) 555‑0142 a $250 one‑time budget"
They text the ghost on their own
They get their own conversation and shop just like you do — find something, get a quote, confirm.
The allowance keeps spending in bounds
Every order checks against their remaining limit. They can't go over, and it always draws from your balance.
Allowance types
Staying in control
You manage every sub‑account from your dashboard or by asking the ghost:
- Pause / resume — "pause my son's allowance"
- Change the amount or period — "bump my teammate to $400 a month"
- Remove — "remove my son's sub‑account"
The sub‑account holder only ever sees their own conversation and limit — never your balance, orders, or anyone else's details.
